Active membership may be extended to any person who has either graduated from Alcorn State University, earned at least one semester credit hour of coursework, or supports the chapter’s purposes, programs and objectives.
There shall be three classes of membership: Regular, Associate and Honorary.
This status shall be granted to all recipients of degrees granted by Alcorn State University. Individuals who have successfully completed a minimum of one semester credit hours of course work at the undergraduate or graduate level are also eligible for regular membership. Only regular members shall be allowed to hold office.
Associate members shall be any friend, faculty member or spouse of an Alcornite – who has demonstrated genuine interest in Alcorn State University and expressed a desire to become affiliated as a member.
Honorary members may include such persons selected by the chapter in recognition of outstanding and meritorious service to Alcorn State University or the Alumni Association.

Graduating students, both undergraduate and graduate, are given one year’s free active membership in the e chapter upon graduating from Alcorn State University.
Greater Dallas Alcorn State University Alumni chapter annual dues are $ 35.00 per calendar year. National Alumni Association annual dues are $25.00 per calendar year.
